The correct answer to this question is Abstract noun. To know about an abstract noun, a person must first understand what a noun is. A noun refers to a person, place, thing, animal, or an idea. John Doe, tigers, and Washington D.C. are all examples of nouns. An abstract noun is anything that our five senses are unable to detect. In other words, we are unable to see, smell, taste, touch, or feel an abstract noun.

The government is an example because we know that the government is an establishment that is there, but we are unable to see, smell, taste, touch, or feel the government. The opposite of an abstract noun is a concrete noun.
