There is a great possibility that Russia will move far in the rounds of the World Cup based upon the group that Russia has been put in. The Russian team was put into the group with several teams that are considered to be easy. Therefore, it would be expected for this team to beat the other teams in their group before moving to the next level in the World Cup.
Most likely, Russia will only make it to that point in the World Cup. It is believed that they will beat Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but then when they move to play against one of the other teams like Mexico, Brazil or Spain, they will most likely not beat them.
Even before Russia was chosen to host the World Cup, there were so many speculations about it. There were some people who said that Russia is going through a string of crises and they may be unable to do it. In the end, they proved that they can. One of the things that they are set out to do is to prove that they have a team that can fight with the rest of the selected countries from different parts of the world.
Russia will have a hard time penetrating the semis and the finals because the other teams are known to be very good. Take note that the members of each team are selected to be the best of the best of the national teams. These members and these teams are popular for various reasons. Still, Russia can do its best as a team and try their luck to reach as far as they can.
