True love is unconditional, this type of love is not common in our world today. This type of love is common between parents and their children. No matter what a child does, parents would always love that child.

A conditional love is not true love, any feeling that has a condition attach to it is not genuine and should not be called love. Love is unconditional, forgiving, patient, long lasting and understanding.

Not all love is unconditional. The one from parents is usually unconditional. They give love without any conditions, showering their love on their children. If you are lucky, you can get unconditional love from your spouse. It means that you have feelings of adoration for someone whether or not they return those feelings or care for you in any way. It is a special bond.

Sometimes, the luckiest people get to love a person unconditionally who loves them back. However, most of the time, our love is steered by wants. If a person fulfills our needs and abides to certain standards, we give them love.
