For those who are not aware, the NA/K pump is also known as the Sodium-Potassium Pump. This is something that can be found in the plasma membrane of different animal cells. This pump works all the time because it is in charge of providing the right amount of energy that living things in order to do different things.

People need energy in order to do work. Without the right amount of energy, other living things will not be able to do anything else. The pump may stop working depending on the conditions. Most pumps would stop when exposed to anoxic conditions. There may be some issues that living organisms will encounter when this stops pumping.
