A is the answer to this question. One of the things that you have to remember is this problem is solved assuming that the mass of the plane will remain the same the whole time. If this would happen in real life, the plane will consume more fuel and it will lose some of its mass. This time, you need to stick to the equation.

The equation that you will use is I = mv2 - mv1 = m(v2 - v1). Simply input the given data. Assuming that m = 45,000 kg, v1 = 242 m/s, and v2 = 258 m/s. The computation will then lead you to the answer which is 720,000 kg m/s.
