The Association of the South East Asian nations is a community that focuses on connectivity, political agenda, security and economic growth. It is an international, intergovernmental organization that includes ten countries from Southeast Asia. It helps to promote intergovernmental cooperation as well as facilitate economic and political growth.

The security, educational and sociocultural agendas are also included in the list of priorities of the association of Southeast Asian nations. It was founded on August 8 1967 by Indonesia and includes nations like Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Singapore and Thailand. Other countries like Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Brunei are a part of the association as well.

It acually has to be five countries; Indonesia, Malaysia,Philippine, Singapore and Thailand,
