How many miles would the bicycle rider travel in 9 hours?

A father walks 36 miles in 12 hours, while his son covers the same distance on a bicycle at twice the fathers rate of speed.

Here's how I did mines : A= number of hours , B= Number of miles , C= distance travel . so ;A =12 , B = 36 , 36 divided by 12 = 3 mph. then, remember the question states his son goes at twice as fast as his dad rate of speed so I multiply 3 times 2 = 6 . then I multiply 6 times 9 = 54 miles
