A lot of experts are saying that Deandre Ayton is going to be the number one pick in the draft probably because of the good moves that he has shown so far. Some people are saying that he may be overrated. The main reason why Deandre Ayton is that he is not good at doing defense.

There may be other players from Arizona who can defend the rim better than he can. This is one of the primary concerns of people but since he is the number one pick, then people will know eventually if he can be actually great in doing what he is supposed to do.

Deandre Ayton according to most analysts is looking to be the number one pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. While his University of Arizona Wildcats team was beaten in first round in NCAA tournament, this in no way affects his draft status or if he is overrated. Ayton brings a dynamic to the court that is already being seen in agile big men such as Kevin Durant and Kevin Love. Ayton has all the tools being a 7 footer that can shoot and play defense and can gracefully move up and down the court.

Ayton has been working out for the teams at the top of the draft order and most believe that he will go number one to the Phoenix Suns. If this is what happens, Ayton will certainly be thrust into the spotlight and will have a huge load placed on him as a rookie. His skills though outshine most ordinary rookies and it can be seen that Ayton could blossom into a huge star. The hype is real about Deandre Ayton and just because his team was beaten in the first round of the recent NCAA tournament in no way diminishes the hype that has been placed on him.
