Yes, Tamil and Korean are similar but are not the same. Tamil is a language spoken in Southern India and in countries like Malaysia and Srilanka. Korean is the official language of the Republic of Korea.

There are so many similar words (over 500 words) in these two languages but they are completely unrelated as far as origins go. It is believed that the similarities in both languages are purely coincidental.
