What does Tsundere character mean? This refers to a Japanese term for a process of character development of a person who gradually develops into being warmer and more friendly over time from a cold and even hostile behavior. This word is derived from two Japanese words "tsun tsun," which means to turn away with great dislike or anger, and "dere," which means acting in a 'lovey-dovey' manner. This term became famous in a visual novel titled Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.

Tsundere is slang from the otaku word which seems relatively complex. The "tsun tsun" and "dere dere" where the words are gotten from are onomatopoeia form used to describe a specific behavior or pattern of disposition. Tsundere is a term often used for the female sex. It refers to her levels of reactions to respond to love. Probably when she's been wooed by a male, she first tries to hide her emotional feelings from the world, then might tend to go abusive, but will still come back to her normal reaction.

Tsundere is actually a term from the Japanese language explaining a character build process which describes a hostile individual like a villain or villainess but eventually transforming into the opposite and positive side of his/her initial being like becoming friendly and loving. The source was from a Japanese game. Tsundere is a concept which is not strongly limited to just females alone, especially women or limited to any manga or anime. The term is now discovered to have been integrated to the otaku moe phenomenon. Lately, much emphasis has been laid and much attention has been given to the term especially in Japan.

Tsundere ia a japanese term for a character (This can be a male or a female character) development process that describes a person who is intially cold and hostile before gradually showing a warmer, friendlier side over time. The word is derived from the terms tsun tsun, meaning to turn away in disgust, and dere dere meaning to become lovey dovey.

Originally found in Japanese bisho games, the word is now part of the otaku moe phenomenon, reaching into other media such as maid cafes, anime, manga, novels and even mass media. The term was made popular in the visual novel Kimi ga Nozomu Eien.
