What is the type of logic used in the following example?

Kade has spent the past month carefully observing a group of third graders on the playground during recess, taking note of how the students interact with one another. On the basis of these observations, Kade is drawing conclusions about the interaction styles of boys and girls.

Kade is using inductive logic when he observes the children at playtime and notes down his observations. He has actual data, at least from his point of view, from which to draw some conclusions, such as how often boys approach girls and how many children are left alone without interactions.
