The Oracle SQL developer helps with the use of other products that were created for Oracle. Oracle SQL uses Teradata, Sybase Adaptive Server, and Microsoft Access, to name a few. The extensions or new features are the GeoRaptor, which is a Geospatial data viewer, Insider, and Schema Visualizer. The history of the Oracle SQL developer began in March 2006 which was the first release of it.

The next version came in December 2006, and then the next one came in August 2007. The most recent version is called 19.1, and it was released in April 2019. In July 2017, the new version number system was used. There is a primary key regarding the Oracle SQL, and it came from the candidate keys.
