The Huawei Mate 10 phone offers PC operation without the dock. A cable connects phone to monitor while the mouse and keyboard connect wirelessly. Is this what you're looking for? This device is pretty impressive since you can be computing merrily with keyboard and mouse while the phone is still functioning normally, so you won't miss a call or have to divert from one operation or device to another.

Quite a benefit! Microsoft's Continuum allows use as a desktop PC but you have to use a windows phone. I don't see this as becoming a best selling product.

The way that computers function and operate these days, it would virtually be impossible for a smartphhone to be created to house an operating system for a personal computer. The reason that this is is that smartphones run on a totally different operating system than PC's do. Operating systems for computers have been around longer and they are geared to take on a lot more users. Mobile operating systems are newer and actually took the blueprint of PC operating systems in order to develop their platform.

Another good example to use is how mobile operating systems change and are tailored to different mobile phone makers. PC operating systems usually stay uniform meaning that no matter what company makes the computer, the operating system that is used is pretty much the same no matter what what computer is being used. This cannot be said for mobile operating systems and smartphones and tablets. The bottom line is that it is pretty much impossible for a smartphone to be able to house a PC operating system. With the ever so evolving of the computer and electronics industry though one could certainly see a future where a smartphone could actually be created to house a PC operating system.
