How do celebrities avoid drug charges?

There are some people who believe that celebrities who do hard drugs are excluded from the law. This is not true. There is a lot of proof online showing the mugshots of celebrities because of the charges that are pressed against them.The main difference is the type of solution that celebrities will undergo. There are a lot of celebrities that would go to rehab and these are usually very expensive.

This is not something that regular people can afford. Regular people would need to undergo community service. Think about it though, those celebrities are usually unable to do great work after that. It may seem like they have gotten away easily but their reputations are already tarnished forever.

While it is true that sometimes celebrities can wiggle their way out of drug charges, that is actually not the case very often. It is a lot more publicized and very likely to get caught on camera by paparazzi or random people passing by. The news of a celebs run in with drugs will be big news and covering the headlines in newspapers and magazines by the next day. A good example of this is Lindsey Lohan.

She was arrested for possession of cocaine and also for drunk driving. She was sentenced to 36 months of probation and one day in jail. This does not mean that her charges would be different than anyone else in this same situation. The people who we read about in the news who get locked up for a long time often have a lot more in their possession.
