Our solar system comprises of the sun and the planets around it. Our solar system is just a part of the huge galaxy circulating around us. We have not yet explored the vast universe and the different galaxies, but our astronomical knowledge has proven that there are numerous other systems out there as well. Our solar system consists of 8 planets. There were once 9 planets, the ninth one being called Pluto.

However, due to its small size, it was finally excluded from our system. The names of the nine planets include mercury, Venus, earth, mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune
