OSPF is the name for Open Shortest Path First. It is a way in which it connects networks together so that message and information can be passed and accessed. Computers must be networked to other computers in order to allow employees or a group of people to have access to the information and they can change it without having to go to one specific computer. The computers do not have to be connected by actual real wires.

The networks can be identified by their number. When a computer pings another computer, then that means it makes contact with the other computer. If the network, 192.168.10.0/24 pings another computer, but the employee or person can’t connect to the information on the network, then the OSPF is missing.
