Social Psychology is the branch of psychology that deals with interactions between humans both at the 1-1 level right up to the crowd or community level. It studies the origin and effect of one person's presence upon another, and how people react and are influenced by others actually or perceived as around them.

The influences of the presence of others upon our behaviour, our thoughts, decisions and so on is fascinating to most people. How we act differently in different societal contexts and how our thinking and actions can be changed forms the subject matter of social psychology experimentation and explanation.
