Timbre is very important in the audio industry. It relates to the quality of the sound or notes that are being played and heard. If there is poor quality in the musical notes, then the timbre is not good. However, timbre can apply to a variety of different sounds related to music like singing voices or guitar playing.

Also, besides guitar, it can also differentiate between a variety of musical instruments in many categories. It is based on a number of things including the “five major acoustic parameters” which are the tonal range, prefix of a sound, spectral envelope, time envelop and spectral envelope. These items determine and are responsible for the timbre of a sound or piece of music.
