Whole tone is a measurement in music. It is the scale by which different notes are separated from one another. There are two different types of whole tone. The whole tone scale has no leading tone as the different notes are all the same distance from one another. in this note, the notes are very close together so we will say that the whole tone is E sharp. It cannot be F sharp or E flat or F flat as the tone composition don’t match their format. You need to read the tone and notice the distances between notes in order to determine what kind of whole tone is the note.
