It should be noted that echo and delay are two completely different things. Echo means that the sound will be repeated after a certain amount of time while delay means that the sound will be played after it is expected. There are times when echos and delays can be added and played back multiple times depending on the sound that needs to be produced.

The echo effect can be great especially if they are placed at the right portions of the song. There are various tools that can be used to create an echo or to a delay that recording studios usually have.
