The trombone is in the Brass family. There are four other major instruments that are part of the Brass family such as the Trumpet, French Horn, Tuba, and the Baritone. Out of the four instruments, the smallest one has to be the trumpet. The trombone is said to have gotten its name because of a piece of stationery. There are some people who say that Brass instruments have gotten its name because these instruments would require the use of your lips so that the instruments will start to play properly.
