Buying an apple TV or Chromecast both would depend on one’s requirements and preferences. Google Chromecast happens to be extremely beneficial to view stuff like presentations on a large screen television. Not only that, but it allows you to play games, music, photos, and videos all on a screen on a regular television that supports a common wifi connection.
If your need falls into any of the above mentioned categories, then perhaps google Chromecast can provide you a lot with a lesser amount of money unlike Apple TV which is usually considered to be rather overpriced for the same common functionalities.
