I think bill gates has a good heart and cares for people. When you are in the same industry as others and even though they’re your competitors you still have a relationship with them. Some people have relationships with their competitors in a negative light but others do keep a positive relationship with their competitors. In this case bill gates of Microsoft still have a friendly relationship with apple and so he did want to see them go under by declaring bankruptcy.
He probably felt that apple would have done the same thing for him if Microsoft was declaring bankruptcy. I doubt he looks back in a sorry for what he did. He probably saved apple at that time because Eden want to look back and be sorry he didn’t save them from declaring bankruptcy.
