How easy or hard is it for an immigrant to find an IT job in US?

I think it’s difficult for many immigrants to find jobs in the U.S. Most of the jobs that people get is through word of mouth. This means that their friends or family members helped them get a job at the company where they currently work. They put in a good word to their boss if they saw an opening at their company. With IT jobs I understand that most employees in this field and industry are white.

So it would be hard to hire someone who doesn’t fit into that category unfortunately because a stigma has already been attached to this type of work. It takes time and a lot of persuasion in order to convince bosses to look elsewhere for different types of workers.
