Modern slavery does exist today. As believed that slavery only took place in the 1700s and 1800s in America but slavery has been going on for a very long time it especially during ancient history. Today people believe that slavery does not exist and it may not exist as much but it does exist. Modern slavery is against the law and it is when people are held against their will and forced to work.

This usually takes place over a long period of time. One such case took place in London England when a man from Nigeria was forced to work without pay and against as will. He finally ran away after over 20 years of being enslaved. This took place just a few years ago.
