Some people may think that country music is lame but that is a matter of opinion. Some people do not like the lyrics and music style of country music. It is often associated with rural life in the American south, which is a turn off for some people.
Other people really resonate with country music because it is different from other mainstream music in that it glorifies rural, country life and can make people feel proud of their rural heritage.
I don’t think country music is lame. Some of the lyrics to country music songs may be a little sappy and unsophisticated, but most country music songs have a story to tell. The story is sung with words that are simple and easy to understand. The stories can be about anything in life, love, death, sadness, happiness and so on. And the stories are usually accompanied by some very pretty music, often guitars, with simple chord progressions.
Country music can easily be identified with and you may find it relaxing just to listen to or if you like to line dance, it can be a ton of fun.
