On a baseball team, there are different departments and sections that work together in order to create a great team. A general manager will need both strong pitching staffs and strong batting lineups. However, many managers feel that they need to have a strong pitching staff in order to stop the hitters from the other team from getting homeruns. The pitching staff would need to be strong so that they would not walk any of the opponent’s batters.
Also, it is important for them to strike out every batter. They want a strong defense. It is important to have strong batters as well, but there is only one pitcher on the field at a time and he is very important to the team.
