The Tommy John surgery refers to the Ulnar Collateral ligament reconstruction. It is a surgery in the elbow. A tendon needs to be replaced in the elbow and it can be done by taking a tendon from another place in the body or from another body. Even though many athletes try to avoid this procedure at all costs, some baseball pitchers request this surgical procedure because it is believed that it improves the speed of their throw. There are always ways to avoid surgery.

First, take care of the elbow. Each baseball player should accurately follow their trainers’ suggestions before and after a baseball game in order to take care of their bodies. As an athlete it is difficult to avoid injuries due to the usage of their muscles.
