Blow job is called “blow job,” not because there is any blowing involved in the process. The act is described as a blow job because of the kind of face that is made during the act. The person is carrying out the act, usually as a puff check, just like you will have when an individual is blowing something such as blowing air into a balloon.

Also, some people refer to the act as “below job,” meaning that the act is done below. It is believed that the term “blow job” evolved from “below job.” The actual name for this act is “fellatio.” It is actually funny how some practice gets their names because anyone that is not familiar with the act might not understand it simply from the name.

A lot of people say that the main reason why a blowjob is called a blowjob is not because of the blowing but because of the type of face that a person makes while executing the blow job.
For the act to be done properly, there is a need to puff one’s face and to ease the pressure inside the cheeks simply by blowing or doing some exhaling. Even though no one knows for sure if this is the reason, there are a lot of people who think that this is the actual reason.
This is still the term of choice of people who would like to do it or those who would like to talk about it. There are even some tutorials that are available online on how people can do this act better.

A blowjob is called a blowjob not because there is blowing involved but because people usually make a blowing face when they are doing the act. There are also some people who say that blowjob used to be called a “below job” because this is an act that would need to be done below.

There are also some people who say that when you place the penis inside your mouth, the penis will sometimes reach your cheeks, and it would make it seem like you are blowing. No matter what the actual reason is, there are a lot of people who enjoy giving blowjobs. Of course, a lot of men love getting it from different women too.

There are a number of theories as to how the sexual act blowjob obtained its name. One theory is that the name came from how the sexual act is performed. A blowjob is done when a person puts a penis in their mouth and push it in and out. Though one is not really blowing when they are performing a blowjob, the person's cheeks will be filled with air as if they are blowing something. Another theory behind the name blowjob is that it derives from the term blowsies, which was used to refer to England prostitutes. The theory of calling it a below the belt job is also a reason behind the name.

Many say it is called blowjob because when the act is carried out, the cheeks of the person carring out the act looks like the person is blowing air and the only way to ease pressure is by exhaling or blowing.

Some say the word originated from 'blowsies' which is a term use to refer to prostitues at a point in England.
Others also say that blowjob originated from 'below the belt job' and it was shorten to 'below job'. Overtime, it was referred to as 'blowjob'.

Linguists think the word evolved from 'blow off' which means to finish off or to end.

There are many sexual acts that have nicknames and names that people have named a long time ago. Another way of saying blowjob is oral sex which implies exactly what it is. Usually, a man or woman came up with the word that people now commonly know as oral sex. Then the term spread around and now people now know it completely by that name. These sexual acts have come about throughout the years, but they were not as prevalent in earlier decades. It seems that people started conducting these sexual acts more recently than their parents or grandparents.

However, during the 1800s, there were different types of birth control and sex acts being performed by prostitutes that are known.
