Am I the only one that thinks first person shooter games are overrated?

First person shooter games have become popular over the past few years. They were created most likely in order to have the video gamer to feel as if he or she is actually there fighting. The person would feel as if she or he is behind the gun. Depending on what you enjoy playing, this would depend if you think these type of video games are overrated or not.

I am sure that these type of games will pass. Some of the first person shooter games are about history and are set during a historical setting or event. However, I believe that this are fun at first but they will then get bored by these games. I am not sure that these games will stand the test of time.
