If North Korea becomes destabilized, this can cause different problems among people. This is known to be a poor and unstable country, to begin with. One thing that they have going for them is they have some very powerful weapons. The problem is, they might be used incorrectly, and there is a chance that it will wipe out the world’s population if certain tools are used.

There is already a lot of turmoil and issues that North Korea has gone through, and it is only recently that they have started to build ties with other countries that they have broken relationships with over the years. One of the reasons why this country may not have a lot of income is because of its isolation from the rest of the world. Only time will tell if it would actually start to unite with other countries in the future.

A 2017 survey conducted by Seoul National University’s Institute for Peace and Unification Studies revealed 53.8 percent of South Koreans believe the Korean Peninsula should be reunited. Is that the same thing as wanting to reunite? Perhaps, but many people in South Korea are worried that if the North Korean regime were to fall, it would place a huge burden on the South Korean people and their government. How would they be able to feed and provide health care to almost 25 million people?

How would they find jobs for hundreds of thousands of people who don’t even have the equivalent of a high school degree? I believe it is fair to say that South Korean citizens do not favor having to pay to modernize North Korea’s economy. It has been reported it could cost at least $500 billion.
