The Olympics is a great athletic competition for everyone to watch. Each time the Olympics comes around, it has its own type of successes to be considered the best Olympics. However, in my opinion, the best Olympics took place in London in 2012. During this Olympics, there were many great things that happened. I personally enjoyed the Summer Olympics better than the Winter Olympics. Also, London had many great things happen for veteran athletes and newcomers.
First, Michael Phelps swam to win more medals which brought his total to 22 medals and this was the most medals won by anyone. Also, the gymnastics team did a great job with Gabby Douglas being new. Missy Franklin was still in high school and performed brilliantly.
