The biggest commercial airline is American Airlines followed by Delta and then United Continental. These airlines have a monopoly over the commercial airlines due to so many people using these airlines. American Airlines made almost 41 billion dollars followed by 40.5 billion for Delta and 37.5 billion for United. In 2016, almost 200 million people flew on American Airlines.

The way that these aviation giants have been able to take over commercial aviation is by any changes that they make causes others to have to make the same changes to their airlines since they can’t afford to provide the other benefits as these airlines. They, in a sense, have to go with the flow. These airline giants have been in control of the commercial aviation for years.
