Can I date someone from my workplace?

Some companies have rules that co-workers are not allowed to date other co-workers. However, most companies do not have that rule. Therefore, it is up to the co-workers to decide this. There may be some benefits to dating a co-worker at your place of employment, but there are some drawbacks as well. The benefits include being able to see this person every day at work.

It would be easy to have lunch with them since you work at the same place. Drawbacks to working at a company where the co-workers are dating would be if the couple broke up. Both co-workers would still have to see each other every day even if they don’t like each other anymore. Also, if one of the couple is promoted, it would be difficult for one to be the boss and the other the subordinate.
