The Broncos do not play tonight. The Denver Broncos are an American sports team. They began playing in 1960 as a part of the American Football League and joined the other teams of the NFL in a merger in 1970. This football team is from Denver Colorado. The Denver Broncos play football for the National Football League in the league's American Football Conference West. The owner of the Denver Broncos is Pat Bowlen. The Sports Authority Field at Mile High has been the playground of the Broncos since 2001, after switching over from the Mile High Stadium where they played from 1960 to 2000.

While the Broncos play regularly now, they were not very competitive during their inital 10-year streak in the AFL and even during their first seven years in the National Football League. In fact, they did not have a winning season until 1973, 13 years after becoming an established team. Four years later they got into the playoffs for the team's first time in history and advanced all the way to Super Bowl XII.

The Broncos do not play today. The quarterback of the Denver Broncos Payton Manning retired on March 7, 2016. Manning had been in the NFL for 18 seasons and he chose to tell the press about his retirement during a conference at the team's headquarters. The Denver Broncos have started making changes regarding a new quarterback following Manning's retirement. Some of these include the backup quarterback Brock Osweiler. Brock is back with the Denver Broncos after being traded with the Browns and the Houston Texans.

Another change is the trade of the Philadelphia Eagles' Mark Sanchez and choosing Paxton Lynch from the draft in 2016. The second-year quarterback Trevor Siemian, Lynch and Sanchez wanted the position of the starting quarterback during the preseason and the off-season. Sieman was chosen as the starting quarterback after Sanchez was dismissed. The Denver Broncos did not make the playoffs for the first time in 7 years. The team finished the season 9–7. Additionally, the coach Kubiak told eveeryone that he was in poor health and had to retire. This happened on January 2, 2017.
