The correct answer is option C – the ordering of one system depends on the disordering of another.

The second law of thermodynamics states that the total entropy of an isolated system can never decrease over time. Every energy transformation makes the universe more disordered and that most energy transformation release heat.

Energy conversions does increase the order in the universe, the total amount of energy in the universe is constant, the entropy of the universe is constantly decreasing and all reaction produce some heat (option A, B, D and E) are not the second law of thermodynamics.
